QUINQUINIUM REPORT 2016- 2022

Introduction

I thank God for giving me an opportunity to serve in the docket of education in the year 2016-2022. Working in this office was not a walk in the park. There were so many gigantic challenges that needed to be addressed to win the hearts of the constituents to begin enjoying Adventist Education. Challenges ranged from inadequate teaching and learning resources, poor infrastructure and national examinations downward performance, lack of professionalism among the teaching staff. These and other challenges seemed an uphill task to address.

However, by God’s grace my department mobilized human capital within and without; together as a team we have managed to address critical issues to the extent that some of the challenges have so far ceased to exist.

Most challenges were swallowed through casting of a vision as it is said where there is no vision a people perish (Proverbs 28:19) and organizing ideas and issues for it is better to organize than agonize. This report will tackle Mission, Vision and students’ enrollment statistics, teachers’ statistics, infrastructural successes, human resource capacity, K.C.S.E/KCPE results 2016-2020, sponsorship programme, evangelistic campaigns held, challenges and way forward.

The Ranen Conference Department of Education exists to act as an arm of the church in making disciples in the context of the everlasting gospel as defined by the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12. We carry out this mission through: Supervision, Coordination, and Promotion to ensure provision of quality Adventist Education in the Ranen Conference territory.
